Daniel Negreanu

Daniel is one of the most famous faces in the poker world for being one of the leading poker players in the world. He has a very successful poker career, a charming personality and he was named "Favorite Poker Player" at the Card Player, Player of the Year Awards Gala in February 2006.

Biography
Daniel was born on July 26, 1974 in Toronto, Canada. Daniel always had a talent for gambling in general and a specific talent for poker. At the age of 21 he moved to Las Vegas to pursue poker full-time which, at the first time, ended up with moving back home to Toronto to rebuild the bankroll. Since then, he has established himself as one of the most successful poker players there is.
Negreanu currently resides in Las Vegas with his wife, Lori.

Achievements
In 1997 Daniel had two first place finishes at the World Poker Finals at Foxwoods earning himself $133,600 and winning the title "the tournament's best all-around player". He had more than thirty victories in tournaments across the globe, won three World Series of Poker bracelets and two World Poker Tour titles.

In 1998, after winning at the WSOP, he won $169,460 at the $2,000 Pot Limit Hold'em event and became the youngest WSOP bracelet winner in history (a record that was broken only in 2004).

In December 2005 he started his own online poker card room on his official site, which includes Daniel's own blog and a variety of poker forums. Daniel plays at his card room under the screen name "KidPoker".

Personal Notes
Daniel has his own say regarding the gambling world and the poker world. He has written over 100 articles for CardPlayer Magazine and contributed to Doyle Brunson's book of poker sequel Super System II.
He assembled a team of "Superstar Contributors" to write a book called "Daniel Negreanu's Power Hold'em Strategy", the book is due to be released in 2006.

He has tutored player on Poker School Online and has given private lessons to celebrities such as Tobey Maguire.
Daniel has also televised appearances including Late Night Poker, High Stakes Poker and Ultimate Poker Challenge.
