Poker Face
Everyone is familiar with the expression "poker face". But tell me, what do you really know about it? (and because you can not really answer me I'll do it for you) not much. I can not say I know all about the "poker face", but I know enough. First of all I will give you my own privet opinion and you can do whatever you want with it. I truly believe that if you are indeed the master of emotions (the ultimate poker face) then you are for sure the winner of the game.
Control Your Emotions
Don%u2019t get me wrong , of course there are other factors in the poker game such as luck and game strategies, but I really think that these factors are not nearly as important as controlling your emotions during the game(during life also, but lets go back to poker).
"Poker face" is important because the only way the other players can figure out whether you have a good hand or a bad hand is through you. Why is that so important? Because you are playing over a big pile of money that can be yours if the other players would think what you want them to think.
Manipulation of the Mind
The second step on your way of becoming the master of the "poker face"is making the other players think what you want them to think. Let's say you have a really bad hand but you make everybody think you have a good one. In that case most players will fold and you will get the pot. Let's say you have a very good hand but you make everyone think you have a bad one, they will raise the bet and you will have a very good change to win a nice pile of money.
Poker Face Wins the Pot
You can be the best poker player and also extremely lucky but that is not what will make you a winner. The poker game is the game of the minds. Having a very good hand is not enough, which is why the game is such a mind game.
Natural Born Poker Face
The thing about poker face is that it is difficult to learn. It takes a certain character in life in order to be that character at poker. But I am not saying it is impossible, just a bit difficult.
