Jennifer Harman
Jennifer Harman is one of the best poker players, and one of the three leading female players in the world (the other two are Annie Duke and Kathy Liebert). She claimed once that being a woman in the poker world is an advantage because most people don't take women players seriously and put their guard down. She said that being a respected poker player and a woman are two things that are difficult to implement. She doesn't consider that as a problem whether her opponents respect her or not, it will only make the game easier for her if they don't.
Jennifer cares a great deal about the game and how it is played and she keeps on trying to achieve a perfect game in Limit Hold 'em.
Biography
Jennifer Harman was Born and raised in Reno Nevada. She began to play poker at the early age of eight while watching her father and his friends play at the house. She played her first game when her father decided to let her play instead of him. Rumor has it she played much better.
Before transforming the hobby into a profession, she worked in different jobs. One of her jobs was as a cocktail waitress.
At the age of 21 she started playing full time and slowly made it a way of life. She specialized in Limit Hold 'em.
In 1993, after a tough year of almost going broke, she considered to quit playing professionally but changed her mind and came back even stronger. She learned from that experience to stick to limits she can afford.
Achievements
She has won two World Series of Poker bracelets, one in Limit Hold 'em, the other in Deuce-to-Seven Draw in 2000 (which she won without having played the game prior to the event). She finished second at the WSOP Circuit event at the Rio, Las Vegas, and fourth at the WPT Five Diamond Classic at the Bellagio.
Jennifer has most of her poker career a head of her and she has a lot more to learn. Her specialty is in Limit Hold 'em, but she knows that as poker player she needs to master all kinds. She is constantly eager to learn more moves and strategies and to get better at the game.
