Men Nguyen probably got his nick name" The Master" due to his devotion to mastering the game. Whatever he may appear on the outside, he is always well prepared to the game.

The Quality of the Master

The number one quality of the master is his ability to read the other players hands. He believes it is more important to read the other players hands then your own. He is one of the friendliest, funniest and most charismatic players ever seen at a poker table. Due to his light appearance, many players mistake him as a player who is easy to read and easy to maneuver. That is obviously a false observation and that is at the end of the day, what makes him so successful.

Biography

Men arrived in a boat from Vietnam. He came across the poker game and fell in love with it during a trip he took to Las Vegas. He decided to learn the game and everything about it by playing every weekend for a year until his first tournament.

Despite his lightweight personality appearance, he is taking the game extremely serious. He sits with other players in order to learn new strategies all the time, he always comes prepared to a tournament. It is only fare to say that he is more devoted to the game then most poker players. But he is not only willing to learn all the time but also to teach and share other players with his insights. It is the perfect combination of being a competitor and a truly enjoy the game.

Achievements

men has many achievements as a poker player such as first place in Seven Card Stud and Lowball at the 2003 World Series of Poker, and also first place in the Omaha HiLo and the Pot Limit Hold'em events at the World Poker Challenge. He also came in first in the mixed games at the Legends of Poker at the Bicycle Casino, and first in Limit Holdem at Foxwoods World Poker Finals.
Men was chosen as the poker player of the year at 1997.He was ranked first on Card Player's list In 2001 of the most successful tournament players in poker. In 2002, he was ranked fifth.
