The attorney generals office rejected on Friday the two ballot measures applied by Wood Village casino supporters. According to Advocate Eli Stutsman who represents the casino promoters, they plan to file another version of the two ballot measures, with correction to the legal issues raised by the attorney general.
Attorney general office spokesperson Kevin Neely, said he expects the casino promoters to prepare appropriate application using the right legal terms.
Lake Oswego founders Bruce Studer and Matthew Rossman plan to build a casino with 3,500 video gambling machines. The casino designated location is Multnomah Greyhound Park, which was closed recently. They suggested that quarter of their profits from gambling would go to public education and other community services.
