An ex casino employee has been sentenced to 48 years old for his brutal attack on a senior citizen in what the DA is calling the worst attack he has ever seen during his career.

Lakewood casino employee was found guilty of attempted first degree murder, assault and robbery of a 76 year old woman who worked at the casino bus station that her attacker used to get home from work. He beet her after she caught him stealing $120 dollars from her purse, after he lost his entire paycheck gambling and needed money to pay his rent.
The man admitted to the vicious attack telling the police that because of his gambling problem after robed her he broke 12 of the woman%u2019s teeth and jaw. Because of the injuries to her head she received some brain damage resulting in the loss of most of her vision.
The DA for the case said %u201CI am so moved by her courage. She was a great witness. Even though she has gone through a nightmare and must still have numerous medical procedures, she was incredible. I hope this jury%u2019s verdict helps her as she continues to heal.%u201D
The man will be 78 years old before he is eligible for parole.
