Good Start for 888
The company's spokesman said that 888 had a positive start to the current year, with an improvement in net margins and growth in the United States sales. The company is continuing to grow outside the United States, reducing their dependence on the territory in line with the company's long term strategy.
Many of the online gaming groups are trying to reduce their exposure to the United States, because of its ambiguous approach to gaming legality.
First-quarter financial report shows a good start to the year for gaming group 888, with a 42% rise in net revenues since last year. The company is worth around £790m at its current share price.
The group's poker revenues increased in 95% to £21m and the casino revenues rose 15% to £24m.
In the first quarter, the company's revenue for each active casino player was £296, which is a 32% rise from the fourth quarter of 2005.
