Clinton Township police broke into a poker party on Thursday night. The poker party took place in a banquet hall. More than 50 people participated in the Texas Holdem game.
The police was informed a few days ago about a poker party due to take place at the Imperial House. On Thursday 7 pm, 15 under covered police officers burst into the poker party and confiscated more than 50,000 dollars. None of the participants in the party was arrested, but some of them were investigated by Clinton Township police.
Imperial House owners, Robert and Linda Perakis could face charges of running an illegal gambling operation. Police are collaborating with the Macomb County Prosecutors Office to decide about the couple future charges, if there will be any. Robert and Linda Perakis could also fined by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission or having the business liquor license removed.
