The first casino gaming academy in the UK was opened at Blackpool College on Wednesday. Student at the academy will learn to be dealers, slot machine technicians, croupiers and casino managers.

The gaming academy includes an authentic training casino that includes slot machines and table games such as roulette, blackjack and poker. The gaming area is televised by CCTV cameras, which enables the students to watch themselves during the training process.

The academy offers its students different levels of diplomas. There are Btec degrees for croupiers and a degree in gaming technology for machine engineers.
