The Winter Poker Open events at Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa are about to start. Until now, more than 1,300 players registered to the different poker tournaments. A prize of 2006 Cadillac Escalade will be given to the champion and to a random player who will participate in one of the Borgata Winter Poker Open first games. The prize for the winner in the Winter Poker Open main event is expected to be more than 1 million dollars, in addition to a 25,000 dollars seat at the World Poker Tours World Championship and the 2006 Cadillac Escalade.
Bogarta added a charity tournament into the Winter Poker Open. The winner in the charity tournament will donate his 10,000 dollars seat in the World Poker Tour to a volunteer organization devoted to prevention of domestic violence.
The organization is run by Boston Red Sox star, Gabe Kapler, who found the event perfect opportunity for his charity.
