Veronica had her first encounter with the gambling world while taking a trip to Las Vegas with a couple of friends. On the first day she sat at the slot machines and even made some money from them, but she did not like the passive way slots is designed. She wandered between the tables and watched all the card games. She got a glimpse at the blackjack table and got hooked on the game. From that point on her interest in card games began and she started to participate in games as an active player.
Veronica has always searched the mathematical quality in every thing she came across. She does not believe in fate or luck, but statistics and chance. That is why she does not refer to it as gambling but as "gaming chances".
She started to play poker while keeping her eyes wide open. She had her share of game winnings but stayed away from the spot lights. Veronica says the gambling part in her life fulfills an urge of curiosity rather then adventure.
At the present, Veronica lives in San Francisco with her husband and works at an art gallery in the city. She keeps her "gaming chances" hobby close by, and once a month even goes to Las Vegas to sharpen the gaming skills and make some new notes. Veronica is a fine blackjack player but her best skill is her observing one.
