A Woman's Strategy
The gambling world is in fact a man's world, and poker is a man's game (hey, I did not make the rules, nor do I like them, but that's just how it is).of course it does not have to be this way, and naturally there is a chance it will change sometime in the future, but lets deal with the present. There are several advantages in being a woman in a man's world and I am here to tell you, women, all about them.
Disadvantage as an Advantage
First thing about being a woman in a men's world is that it doesn't have to be a disadvantage. Think about it as taking a trip to a foreign country where people treat you differently when you do not know how to act or what to do, because you are foreign. People are usually very patient and understanding towards foreigners. The gambling and gaming world is a very competitive world and an outsider, who appears clueless and harmless, can get information and special treatment just for being that- a harmless outsider. So it is safe to say that as an outsider your path towards being an insider is shorter than the one of the simple gambler that has a clue.
The Natural Advantages
Women have the obvious and natural gift of confusing men (well, most women and most men). When a person plays poker at a casino for money the last thing he needs in order to win is to get confused, but he (or she) will benefit the most if the other players get confused. Now, if you want me to elaborate on this one, then you are obviously not a woman.
The Female Advantage
According to previous studies, women can do several things at once without losing their concentration. At The poker table you need to be 100% concentrate on the game, on the other players, on the dealer, on the bettings and so on. Learn the game before playing and use your natural focus to do all those things at once. And if you have a doubt about being able to, remember- studies say you can.
The Best Strategy
So what is the best strategy, for men, women and the whole human kind? If you ask me the best strategy is to keep your advantages up and running and to invert your disadvantages into advantages. Sound simple enough but it takes a lot of self-studying and self-teaching.
